Hat obsession

It is so much fun to crochet and/or knit hats. Why? For many reasons, but these are the top three:

1. "Instant" gratification
2. It doesn't take much yarn
3. You can never have too many cute hats!!

Of course, they usually tend to be winter hats. Since I have learned to knit, I only really know how to make 2 styles of hats so far. I am currently addicted to making ribbed caps. Easy, fun, and something I can work on that doesn't take too much concentration. I like to have projects like this for social knitting or for watching TV/movies.

I am loving how my latest one is turning out! I bought 3 different colors of this particular yarn, in hopes that it would result in cute stripes. It has!It makes it super fun to knit too, because it's kind of a surprise as to how it actually turns out. I have a hard time stopping because I want to see what happens when I knit a little further. My only concern is that I won't have quite enough yarn to make the hat the size that I like. Here are the other 2 colors...The yarn is called Tonalita by Trendsetter Yarns. I bought it recently at the LYS in Edmonds.

If I run low on yarn, I guess I'll have to purchase more! Dang.
