Couch camp

I've kind of set up a little camp at the couch. Blankets for when I'm cold, a wash cloth to wet when I'm hot, water bottle, magazines, a couple different books I'm reading, a couple of knitting projects to work on, and of course, the remote. I'm not messing around.

I'm feeling a touch better. I can do more than just walk across the room before needing a nap. Not much more, but slow progression is better than no progression. And the doc did say it could take up to 4-6 weeks before I'm back to 100% full capacity.

I have already called in for my shifts this week. I was feeling guilty, which I KNOW is totally stupid, so I was kind of waiting to see how I felt. But I finally realized that there is no way I would be well enough to work even just one 8 hour shift, let alone the three 12 hour shifts in a row I was scheduled to work. So I called this morning to give them the news. Really, the main reason I feel guilty is because I know it may mean that my night shift co-workers will have rough nights. But at the same time, I know that they understand more than anyone and wouldn't want me killing myself. It's too tough of a job to do when you're feeling even just a little bit sick. And I definitely feel more than a little bit sick!

Here's what I've been doing for the past few days....
The cats are definitely not upset about Couch Camp this week. :)
