So today I got to go out on my first visits BY MYSELF! It was nerve-wracking and flustery and exhilarating and FUN and I am so excited!! I did 2 visits, both patients that I had met before when I went out with another nurse. It definitely didn't go perfectly, but it also definitely didn't go horribly. I am very proud of myself and so was my manager! She is doing her best to really ease me into the whole process so as not to overwhelm me. She wants me to do well and to ENJOY it and want to stick around. The visits I did today were just follow-up visits, which isn't quite so intense on the paperwork side. But it still felt good to be out there.
I think I'll be doing home health for a long time. :)
