Resolutions

I don't really make a list of resolutions for the new year because then there is too much pressure to do things I may not really want to do. I would rather just let things happen naturally. Eventually, I always get around to all those things I "should" do. And if I don't, then there is usually some deeper reason why not, and maybe it's better I don't.

With that said, there are a couple things I WANT to do this year. Of course they involve knitting. I see them both happening simultaneously throughout the year, along with the hundred other projects I will most likely work on throughout. Here they are, not necessarily in order of importance...

1. Learn to knit a sweater. Yes, a real honest-to-goodness sweater. And hopefully one I will actually want to wear. I have a few patterns lying around, but I haven't narrowed it down yet.

2. Learn to knit socks. Duh. Why haven't I done this before?? It seems so obvious that my passion for socks should intertwine with my passion for knitting. I just got this book yesterday at B&N to help me get started...

That's all for now.

I made my first sock just a few days ago, I'm working on the second one right now. Of course, they are baby socks, but it's really cute and easy. Can't wait to show them to you!!!
