Warm

I don't know why I haven't been able to blog much lately. I thought I should at least try.

Work has been great great great. Really. I actually like going to work. Like today, I am hoping that tomorrow ISN'T a snowday so I can go in. What a change.

Lately, I've been going out on more visits on my own. It's so fantastic. I call the patients myself and set up times to go see them. Then I work my day how I see fit. So far, my patient load has been light, between 2 and 4. It's kind of tough at times though, because I'm coming in at the middle of the case, so I am trying to figure out what I need to actually do. Once I start up my own patient load, it will be much better. I will get to admit them myself, and then be the case manager for that patient until they no longer need us. I have a couple people that I see on a regular basis, but I didn't start the cases so it's not quite the same. The paperwork for an admit is quite the challenge, and I will be working on that next. Tomorrow I am suppose to go out to watch my manager do one, and then within a couple of days I will do one with her by my side. I am so ready to learn it! Oh, and did I mention that I love my job?

In the realm of knitting: I haven't been getting as much done as I'd like. Mostly because I actually have a social life again. :) But I did finish the second swirly mitt......and I made a hat for Tara's bday...
Normally I wouldn't post gifts on here, that haven't been given, but I am pretty sure Cameron doesn't read my blog. If you do happen to be reading this, Cameron, stop it right now!!!

So anyways, here is a hat I made for him for X mas...The yarn is part wool and part alpaca so it is very WARM and SOFT.

I also just started a mitt yesterday for Chris. I'm using the "Dashing" pattern from Knitty. Here's what I have so far...I don't know if you can really tell whats going on from the picture. All I know, is that the swirly mitts I made for myself have really inspired me to start using my cable needle a lot more. :)

The only other new news I can think of, is that we got a heated bed for Miss Muppy. With the cold weather and her arthritis, we worry about her a lot. And anything we can do to make her more comfortable is worth it. She doesn't lay in it all the time, but when she does she really seems to enjoy it...I'm a bit jealous.
