Quality Improvement

This is week #2 at my new job. So far it has been absolutely fantastic. I mean, some parts of it are slightly boring because I'm doing a bunch of the necessary classes and orientation stuff. But the people have been great. I got to go out on visits a couple days last week, once with a physical therapist and once with another nurse. This, of course, was the most fun so far. I am nervous and very very excited to get out there on my own!! This career change has gotten me excited about nursing and I know I am going to do well in this position.

It's been unbelievably awesome to be home in the evenings after work with plenty of time to do things before I have to go to bed. I can run errands, go to the gym, go out to dinner, meet up with friends, relax, read, knit, watch movies, etc etc. It's been many years since I've had any kind of normal schedule. I already feel an increase in energy and can see myself getting excited, once again, about doing the things that I love.

In anticipation of being out there on my own, on the road, I purchased something that will not only make my job easier, but is FREAKING AWESOME......I've only had it for a few days but I already LOVE it. Yes, I love an inanimate object. Don't be jealous.

Well, that may be the only thing they DON'T do. :)

The GPS was the deciding factor for me. But I just downloaded this free application the other day: say you're somewhere and this song is playing and you MUST know what it is. You can press a button, hold iphone towards it for a few seconds, wait a few more seconds and BAM: song info including a link to what album, where to buy it and a link to a youtube video if available. I seriously almost peed my pants. :)

holy shit. that's a little scary.
does it work on cds, or just the radio? wait. I don't think I want to know.

"say you're somewhere and you're wondering what kind of underwear somebody has on. You just point the iphone towards them for a few seconds, and bam. A link to victoria's secret pops up and you can buy the same leopard print bikini briefs."

in a perfect world.
