One of the coolest parts about my job is getting to know people I may have otherwise never met, on a level I never would have expected. It's pleasantly surprising to realize how much I have in common with someone I thought was totally different than myself. Another cool thing is when those people trust me not because I'm a nurse, but just because I'm a good person.
